Metal Art

Here are metal art samples. In the long rainy winters of SW Oregon, we fabricate in the farm shop.  It is a time when the trails are too slick to ride on and the mares are getting heavy in foal. We just play with the foals and spend time feeding cattle and horses.  Thus, we have time to make art in the farm’s welding shop. Mike is the welder/fabricator while our daughter is the computer guru/designer. Pam sketches some but generally cheers them on. The models for the equine art are our own Morgans, from photographs we’ve taken and tweaked by Katherine.

In 2012 we will be offering the first online sale of art. Presently if a piece interests you, we ask that you call us at 541-378-6168 or email at dawnwindmorgans@hotmail.com.  We basically price them at the cost of the metal (depending on the thickness) and the cut-rate, which is $5.00 a minute to cut out on the CNC machine.  If you choose a piece which you desire Mike to color with the torch, there is an added value.  We are just beginning to make 3-D pieces as well.
